SUMMER 2025 (in planning phase):
Raider WP is planning our summer training trip in Southern California. Our plan is to fly into LAX, play in the Hale Tournament hosted by CHAWP at various pools in the Inland Empire. Next, we would train in the Manhattan Beach area for a few days before driving over to Irvine for the Junior Olympics. The JO Expo is on July 18 and then we will compete the next 4 days before flying home to MIA.

- July 14-18: Train in Manhattan Beach
- July 18: Junior Olympics Expo
- July 19-22: Session One of the Junior Olympics (18U Boys)

Hotels: TBD – typically SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn, Hyatt Place or equivalent. Manhattan Beach hotel in the past has been The Redondo Beach Hotel (Hilton). We usually stay in hotels that include breakfast.
Flights: Raider WP can book players’ flights or parents can book them separately. If booked separately, please try to choose the same flights as the team. If not possible, parents are responsible for making group transportation arrangements to meet up with the team.
Cost: Estimate TBD. Exact cost may vary based on the actual number of players. Cost includes hotels, ground transportation (15 passenger van and one SUV/minivan), coaching and tournament entry fees. Players will pay for their own meals on the trip.

July 28 – August 2: Junior Olympics (Session 3 for non- California Teams) in Dallas, Texas. Based on sign up, we have entered a 18U Girls team.
California 2019:
This year we will be flying to LAX on July 8th and training in Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. We will compete in 2 tournaments: the John Hale Invitational and the National Junior Olympics. Boys will fly home on July 24 and girls will fly home on July 29. Here are some of the California trip details:

The cost for the trip is roughly $150 per day which includes: hotel (free breakfast), rental vans (gas & insurance), coaching costs, tournament entry fees, and snacks and drinks for tournaments. This does not include flight, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks for training and activities (movies, bowling, etc.).
California 2018:
We flew into San Francisco and took a quick tour of UC Berkeley. We then wasted no time to start training in Sacramento. We practiced at Granite Bay High School with their local high school and club team, coached by Andrew Reego who comes to Miami for the Alumni Camp each year! For JOs, the boys went to compete in San Jose while the girls continued training in Sacramento. Once boys JOs finished, the girls competed in JOs in San Jose as well.
California 2017:
This year’s trip was based in Redondo Beach/Manhattan Beach (where we scrimmaged with Trojan WP and Costa Mesa HS). We also competed in the John Hale Tournament at various pool sites near Ontario. We then competed in the Junior Olympics in Irvine.
California 2016:
This year’s trip started in San Diego and ended in San Jose. The stops along the way included: Redondo Beach/Manhattan Beach (where we scrimmaged with Trojan WP and Costa Mesa HS), Ontario (competed in the Hale Championships), Santa Barbara, Monterey (Monterey Bay Aquarium), and finally San Jose. The 18U boys competed in JOs and placed 10th in the gold division.
Southern California 2015
This summer the 16U boys, 16U girls and 14U boys trained with some of the best club teams in Southern California and at some of the best beaches in Southern California. The kids also went on a daylong excursion to Santa Cruz Island. The 16U boys competed in JOs and placed 10th in the gold division.
Northern California 2014
The 18U girls competed in JOs and placed 6th in the gold division.

Hungary 2014
We travelled to 5 different cities: Dunaujvaros, Budapest, Szeged, Kecskemet, and Pecs. The boys competed in a tournament which included teams from Serbia, California, and Hungary. The girls trained with the youth national team of Hungary. We watched women’s USA team play Hungary in Kecskemet. We also got to watch the Hungarian Men’s National team play a tune up scrimmage against theis Junior National team at Margaret Island.

Germany 2011
We were hosted by Blau Weiss club team. We stayed in their homes and we reciprocated when they came to the US. We competed in a tournament where we camped out at the pool with all the other teams from Germany and Poland.
